Submit cancer cases to the NSW Cancer Registry

Learn how your service can submit cases to Cancer Institute NSW to help contribute to an improvement in cancer outcomes in NSW.

Notification of new cancer cases and cancer deaths is required under the Public Health Act 2010. Pathology laboratories, hospitals (public or private) and treatment centres are some of the services that are required to provide notifications and can do so in several ways.

Notification of the treatments applied to notifiable cancers (primary and recurrent cancer treatments) in NSW facilities are required under the Cancer Institute (NSW) Act (2003). This is supported by the relevant Cancer Notifications Policy Directive.
