2016 Innovations in Cancer Treatment and Care Conference

This free conference provided health professionals across NSW with an opportunity to hear, collaborate and share the latest innovations in quality cancer treatment and care.

2016 Keynote speaker

This year's keynote address was delivered by Professor Jane Turner of the University of Queensland and the Department of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

She spoke on the psychosocial needs of people with cancer from diagnosis and across the treatment pathway.

Professor Turner is engaged in research evaluating a structured intervention for fear of cancer recurrence in women who have had breast cancer and is leading a trial of a nurse-delivered survivorship intervention for patients who have completed treatment for head and neck cancer.
